New Jersey Festival of Ballooning

I recently went to the 2009 New Jersey Festival of Ballooning. I originally didn't plan to blog any of these photos, but I was so happy with the them, especially the colors, patterns and textures that I was able to capture, I just have to share!

It was not unlike a normal carnival with stands, food, random stuff for sale and tooons of people. The big difference were these gigantic balloons laying around all over the place. Some were decommissioned and were partially inflated so people could walk into them just for fun, but most ended up in the air.

I think they said that there were over 120 balloons in the air that day because it was the first day of the festival and the "Mass Ascension." And obviously there were some unconventionally shaped balloons as well.
